About Product Launch Manager APAC

  The job location can be Shanghai/China or PJ/Malaysia

  Launch Planning and Strategies:

  lead the product launch projects

  set up a product launch strategy in alignment with the relevant parties (R&D, M&S, plants, GTS)

  create Launch Plans for tire line or article implementation and track the progress (project/ plants/ markets)

  alignment & communication of measures in case of project delays

  coordinate the activities within marketing to ensure a successful preparation for the new product launch

  Product Industrialization:

  ensure market availability (in time and volume) for new EMEA RE tire lines / articles under consideration of general Product Launch relevant items, such as progress of R&D development projects, capacity situation of involved resources (R&D, plants, mold design, mold service, …).

  identify and initiate necessary measures incl. regular follow-up based on frequent monitoring and prepare regular Management Reports.

  communication of measures to the management in case of project delays

  review, enhancements, and adjustments of rules for SOP steering (SOP: start of production) between process relevant departments

  operate regular tracking on SOP capacity´s in plants.

  continuous knowledge exchange with R&D considering development projects to identify just in time necessary adjustments in standard planning.

  communicate and decide on SOP relevant items and if necessary incorporate Launch Management EMEA and Americas.

  operate and enhance of cross functional SOP-Monitoring

  ensure optimized forecasting process for product launches

  Portfolio Management:

  maintain R&D resources plan in coordination with R&D and PMs to guarantee all new projects/TLA available on timeProduct Planning:

  assist Product Managers in PFB preparation and product trainings.

  participate R&D or manufacturing projects or task forces as PM representative

  represent the marketing in plant allocation and 4-4-1 meetings

  Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent

  3 years in tyre industry with product management/technical role with understanding of the project management process

  Project Management experience

  Cross-cultural experience is an added advantage

  English is must and Mandarin knowledge is plus
