In this exciting role as a Product Engineer II, you will be responsible for performing the scientific activities in a product development environment. Execute technical protocols and perform mechanical tastings. Assist in Product development by performing design verification tests and statistical data analysis to gain a thorough understanding of product performance and functionality. Other activities include assisting scientific presentations.

A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Execute test methods and strategies to support early feasibility, characterization, and qualification of processes.
Document protocols and reports at various stages of product development.
Perform verification and validation tests.
Ensure designs meet and exceed product specifications, regulatory requirements, national and international standards.
Responsible for production support engineering with respect to testing methods, procedures, and problems; device specification and yield problems; minor redesign of devices and masks; analysis of customer returns; and optimizing device production relative to cost constraints.
Executes development plan and project work.
Accomplish multiple projects/ sub-projects simultaneously including preparing scientific presentations and research articles.
Provides direct hands-on laboratory support and applies complete understanding of underlying Chemistry in work assigned and performed.
Performs routine and non-routine analyses.
Maintains a collaborative environment within the consumable R&D and across cross-functional teams.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Engineering or related sciences with 2+ years professional experience
OR
Advanced Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Engineering or related sciences with 0+ years professional experience.
Nice to Have
Experience in Medical Devices
Experience performing data interpretation including working with mathematical concepts relevant to the study plan setting.
Experience in Minitab Statistical Analysis
Extensive report writing experience
Strong hands-on problem-solving ability
Experience in product design and development in an R&D environment
Capable of working on multiple projects in a deadline driven environment
Cleanroom procedural experience
Good understanding of CFR 21 820 FDA Quality System Regulation, GMP, GDP, ISO 13485, EU Medical Device Directives and other applicable quality system regulatory standards
Exceptional commitment to working in a collaborative and dynamic research field
Strong time management and prioritization skills are required for management of multiple projects.

The provided base salary range is used nationally (except in certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
