Job Overview
TE Connectivity’s Product Engineering Teams optimize existing products from information or input provided by marketing, customers, Operation Teams, Development Engineers or other employees. They maintain existing products, processes, and specifications including modifications for new applications consistent with manufacturing techniques and economies. They also initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, and cost, while meeting customer requirements and may support and implement product extensions to existing platform products to meet specific customer requirements. They are the key experts in the products they are responsible for at TE.
Responsibilities
Conduct product validation and testing linked to new product development, cost reduction, requalification, quality concern.
Executes tests on industrial electrical products according to test request, customer, and internal/international standards.
Ensures that all test results are recorded and discussed with internal lab manager.
Test samples preparation in according to defined test requirements.
Provides timely and effective response.
Support to both internal and external customers.
Cross functional coordination to understand the existing or new product validation, testing and certification requirements.
Support to manage lab operations such as test requirement management, preparation od test plan, procurement, test report publication, equipment calibration etc.
Contribute to meet all EHS and lab safety guidelines and policies.
Prepare and release SOP, work instruction and risk assessment for lab & equipment.
Support to root cause analysis to investigate broad range of problems and determine causes & solutions.
Desired Candidate Profile
Min 2 years (for BE / B.Tech) from Mechanical/electrical stream or equivalent with relevant experience
Experience in lab setup, LV product testing, certification, coordination with external agencies.
Basic understanding of international standards such as IEC60947, UL1059, UL486.
Hand on experience in testing and certification of LV products.
Should have hands on experience in conducting test like temperature rise, dielectric, short circuit, flexion pull out, salt spray, cycling dry heat, ingress protection, flammability, endurance, vibration etc.
