Overview:
Product Engineering manager to promote product growth across our Power and Signal interconnection portfolio for the Appliance Industry. This individual will lead team of product engineers based in Americas accountable for NPD and sustaining projects working within multidisciplinary teams. Preferred candidate should be capable to develop team capabilities, establish efficient working processes in according LeanPD / TEOA methodologies and manage stakeholder relationships to enable efficient and robust product and process development to meet customer and business needs. They should also be experienced in all aspects of product design and sustaining for interconnection products and have good understanding of associated manufacturing processes.
Short Description
Lead product engineering team responsible for NPD and sustaining life cycle engineering
Provide technical leadership to ensure projects meet functional, cost and timing requirements
Collaborate and align activities of Americas team with other APL engineering teams globally
Establish effective working processes in accordance with Lean PD
Drive continuous improvement culture based on TEOA and Digital methodologies to increase speed, innovation and efficiency
Foster effective project collaboration and alignment with stakeholders
Integral part of team responsible for product and technology roadmap development
Develop team talent through coaching and guiding their professional development
Present projects at technical reviews, updates and decision forums
Provide technical support and interface to internal and external customers
What your background should look like:
Qualifications / Professional Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or Master's in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) required
Min of 10 years of relevant industry experience
Min 3 years of supervisor / managerial experience desirable
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Experience in planning, budgeting, resourcing, and controlling of an engineering team
Experience in talent assessment and development
Good experience with NPD and sustaining complex precision interconnection products
Good knowledge of design methodologies and tools used for interconnection product development
Knowledge of associated manufacturing processes (molding, stamping, plating, assy, termination)
Experience in simulation (Ansys or similar) and rapid prototyping for product verification
A proactive approach to management of risk and uncertainty
Must be a hands-on leader, a motivator, and mentor
Knowledge of Voice of Customer, Design to Value, Design for Six Sigma, and LEAN Manufacturing (Green Belt in Six Sigma is desirable).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate, negotiate, and drive result-orientated conclusions at all levels globally both internally and externally.
Must be self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize, set, and achieve goals and drive continuous improvement and change within the team and wider enterprise.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $147,440 – $221,160 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
