About Product Designer II

Every great story has a new beginning, and yours starts here.

Welcome to Warner Bros. Discovery… the stuff dreams are made of.

  Who We Are…

When we say, “the stuff dreams are made of,” we’re not just referring to the world of wizards, dragons and superheroes, or even to the wonders of Planet Earth. Behind WBD’s vast portfolio of iconic content and beloved brands, are the storytellers bringing our characters to life, the creators bringing them to your living rooms and the dreamers creating what’s next…

From brilliant creatives, to technology trailblazers, across the globe, WBD offers career defining opportunities, thoughtfully curated benefits, and the tools to explore and grow into your best selves. Here you are supported, here you are celebrated, here you can thrive.

  Your New Role…

As a Product Designer, you will provide support for every aspect of the product design process, from initial brainstorm sessions to final pixel tweaks. You will work closely with a talented team of designers, product managers, engineers, researchers, writers and legal experts. You will utilize a full range of product design, interaction design, and visual design skills, and be responsible for much of the final product experience. On large, complex projects you will partner with Senior Product Designers and Design Leaders.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading complex projects from concept through development, working with a diverse set of stakeholders to achieve the best experience for our customers. Experience with transactional design or financial services is helpful. Good written and verbal communication skills will be a differentiator.

  Your Role Accountabilities...

Deliver appropriate design artifacts spanning all project phases, from concept development and design to production and documentation (e.g., evaluations, task flows, user scenarios, information architecture, interaction models, wireframes, low- and high-fidelity prototypes, specs and guidelines).

Be responsible for the design and development of detailed interface designs, and translate them into design system components and specifications, across multiple platforms and for multiple markets.

Collaborate closely with product managers, researchers, writers, and engineers, as well as other design team colleagues while soliciting, interpreting and integrating their detailed feedback.

Partner with user researchers to understand our customers’ needs and mental models and use this research to inform design.

Contribute to high-level strategic decisions alongside the product and executive teams.

Convert ambiguity and opportunity into rich, usable design solutions.

Contribute to creating a fun and supportive culture that allows us to make career-defining user experiences.

Help strike a balance between user goals and business needs to craft win-win experiences for our customers and our business.

  Qualifications & Experience...

3+ years experience as a product designer.

A portfolio that demonstrates strong visual and interaction design skills, as well as a laser focus on user needs and considerations.

Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.

Proven ability to create detailed, comprehensive and attractive design artifacts, from user flows to wireframes, mockups to interactive prototypes.

A holistic approach to problem solving that results in elegantly simple solutions to complex challenges.

Demonstrable understanding and application of core design skills including composition, typography and color theory

Ability to synthesize ideas and feedback from various sources including stakeholders, end users and product design colleagues

Strong listening, analytical and organizational skills

Evidence of working with design systems that connect individual features to the overall product experience

Expertise with industry-standard design tools including Figma & Figjam, as well as experience in working with Figma based design systems etc. Knowledge of current product design best practices including Agile Development and Lean UX.

Experience designing cohesive cross-platform experiences including mobile and web.

An energetic, positive, self-starter attitude and a willingness to demonstrate initiative and responsibility.

  How We Get Things Done…

This last bit is probably the most important! Here at WBD, our guiding principles are the core values by which we operate and are central to how we get things done. You can find them at www.wbd.com/guiding-principles/ along with some insights from the team on what they mean and how they show up in their day to day. We hope they resonate with you and look forward to discussing them during your interview.

  The Legal Bits…

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance.
