The Reliability Engineer will bedirectly involved in the overall evaluation of Generac Power Systemsproducts. This engineer will be responsible for creating and monitoringthe validation plan for these products. This person is expected to drivecomponent and system level testing to evaluate design robustness andreliability. This role will be responsible for evaluating equipmentfailure modes and utilizing engineering experience and training todevelop solutions for eliminating potential failures. Essential Dutiesand Responsibilities: Drive cross functional teams to achieve Generac\'shigh product performance and reliability standards throughout theGenerac Development Process (GDP). Evaluate product failure modes andutilize engineering experience and training to develop solutions foreliminating/mitigating potential failure modes Facilitate the DFMEA anddesign review process to develop strong validation plans that assurecustomer and design functional requirements have been met Advise andconfer with engineers in design review meetings to give reliabilityfindings and design recommendations Review engineeringspecifications/drawings and propose design modifications to improvereliability within cost and other performance requirements Monitorproduct performance and evaluate product history and failure trends todetermine sources of poor component performance Gain a deepunderstanding of the operating environment and performance requirementsfor our products. Create detailed reports (DVPR) documenting allfindings and conclusions. Support root cause analysis and resolution ofissues found during testing and on returned products from the fieldMinimum Requirements: Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering 2 years ofreliability engineering experience Preferred Qualifications: Master\'sDegree in Engineering Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Knowledge andexperience testing electrical and mechanical systems for reliability.Experience with reliability fail modes and fail mechanisms with respectto reliability.
