Job Description
The Product Data Governance Manager is part of the Laboratory Products Group. It reports to the Director, Supply Chain Management Excellence.
Location for this position is Pittsburgh, PA site. Other select Laboratory Products Thermo Fisher sites/offices will be considered.
Position Summary:
The Laboratory Products Product Data Governance Manager will lead the creation, development, and implementation of Product Master Data Management and Data Governance capabilities. This includes driving the adoption and implementation of a data quality program and associated standards and governance methods across key data and processes. This role will work to identify, prioritize, and implement data management and improvement initiatives partnering with business, supply chain and technology functions. It will advance the Laboratory Products Data Governance program & journey, driving improvements in data and processes to achieve strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Creates an environment where employees can grow and develop into greater levels of contribution.Direct supervision of the LPG Product Data Governance team, establishing direction, distributing workload, and providing clear communication and guidance to achieve goals.Lead/Support the creation and implementation of product data governance and management policies, processes, and tools across the organization.Identification, root cause analysis, prioritization, coordination, and execution of data quality remediation projects/activitiesEstablish data quality requirements (timeliness, accuracy, completeness, accessibility) and appropriate metrics for monitoring with an understanding of legal/compliance/regulatory environment.Champion continuous process improvement
Qualifications:
Education and Experienced Required
Bachelor's degree in business, Master Data Management or Data Governance, Supply Chain, or IT. Equivalent experience may be considered.Working knowledge of cross functional business and supply chain planning processes5- 7 years Master Data Management or Data Governance experience required, especially in a supply chain and/or manufacturing environment.3 -5 Years People leader experience5+ years of relevant project management experience, leading and managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously across a matrixed organization.Process improvement, Lean, Six Sigma trained preferred.APICS CPIM, CSCP, Project management PMP Certification, preferred

Ability to develop and communicate clear vision, setting objectives and providing mentorship for Data governance & management activities, in alignment with business goals and strategies.Advanced application of Master Data / Data Management or Data Governance concepts to address specific business challenges.Understanding of Practical Process Improvement (PPI) or comparable continuous improvement methodologyProficiency in engaging and building relationships with a diverse and broad set of stakeholders, ensuring their active participation & support to data governance initiatives.Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to be independent.Drive for results - Consistently hits the goals and objectives while always focusing on driving toward stretch goals.Strong interpersonal, change management and communication skills, with the ability to influence others and work effectively with various functions and organizational levels.Strong problem-solving, analytic and reasoning skills.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Pennsylvania is $93,800.00-$154,700.00.
