Do you want to join a fast paced Global Procurement Organization team focused on Amazon Operations? By joining the Site Procurement Operations Team, you have the opportunity to lead and deliver strategic Procurement projects for our internal Business Partners, at local, regional, national, and European level. As a Procurement Specialist, you will work in a team environment with Internal Amazon stakeholders, diverse Procurement peers, and external vendors, to procure value-adding solutions to the Business. You will be joining a cross-functional team acting as a strategic Business Partner. You will drive continuous improvement, innovation, prevent legal and supply risk, and sustainability through your Procurement missions.
Responsibilities:
This role requires experience in procurement, ideally within an international and customer-driven environment. You will be responsible for:
Supporting local Procurement activities related to new site launches
Providing ongoing Procurement support to existing sites
Delivering policy and process training to requestors and key stakeholders/functions
Identifying and managing a local supply base
Managing a local category
Managing supplier relationships
Enforcing and monitoring Procurement policy compliance and working with the relevant individuals to make improvements where required
Proactively leading, executing and supporting local and EU wide procurement project activities throughout all phases of the project
Partnering with other Country Procurement Specialists to consolidate the supply base and Business as usual (BAU) requirements at an EU level.
Identifying savings opportunities and partnering with Category Managers to deliver savings through tenders/negotiations/contract renewals.
Managing the relationship with our internal customers
Interpret data and use reporting to draw conclusion for respective local categories
Support strategic efficiency projects such operational excellence, sustainability and supplier management across DE.
Support to negotiations, contracts implementation and maintenance, incl. supplier performance metrics
Willing to travel throughout the EU

Regarding the team, The Site Procurement Operations team (SPO) works collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to provide procurement support and solutions. This pillar sits at the heart of site operations and works with local stakeholders to deliver procurement solutions to complex on-site projects.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree with Procurement or Supply Chain or significant Procurement experience in Sourcing, Contracts Management or equivalent role
· Fluency in German and English
· Effective listening, communication (verbal and written), and commercial mindset
· Bias for action and result driven mindset
· Any additional sourcing and/or purchasing competencies would be advantageous
· Demonstrated success managing inventory, including auditing, forecasting and planning
· Problem-solving and analytical ability to draw conclusions from data
· Ability to identify issues, develop solutions & drive results
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office
· Contract and Price negotiation experience is advantageous
Preferred Qualifications
· Degree with Procurement or Supply Chain focus
· CIPS/EIPM accreditation or equivalent functional knowledge or accreditation
· Experience of ERP (SAP/Coupa)
· Ability to work as part of a team and independently · Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels to manage expectations and push back where appropriate
· Ability to manage conflicting priorities effectively and accurately, anticipating problems, managing expectations, resolving issues and identifying solution
· Takes ownership of tasks and ability to make decisions
· Demonstrates patience and perseverance during setbacks and challenge
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience of dealing with both internal and external customers/suppliers at all levels
