What you will be doing
Under general direction of the Managing Director, the Procurement Manager is responsible for the internal sourcing and procurement processes of Cencora Global Procurement (CGP). The successful candidate will take the lead in identifying procurement efficiencies, provide input into the contractual terms and conditions of the distribution agreements and helping to support and manage supplier relationships in conjunction with the US and European entities. Will be responsible for supporting the commercial contracting of CGP's center of excellence (COE). The Procurement Manager must have sufficient experience and ability to function as an independent professional and must be comfortable working in various jurisdictions world-wide.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitors internal sourcing and procurement processes for effectiveness.Document all CGP processes and maintain a controlled environment for Sox's reporting.Ensures drug manufacturer services (data inventory management) are performed by the group's wholesale distributors.Lays out terms and conditions of contracts to the Managing Director and presents contracts for signature.Managing the relationship between CGP and Cencora Drug Company.Provides support to high value service providers in reviews of key supplier negotiations (terms, financial metrics, etc.) with drug and non-drug manufacturers.Partners with Contract Manager to ensure proper maintenance and adherence to contract guidelines for existing and new contracts (metrics, expirations, regulatory, etc.).Coordinates regular program meetings with high value service entities to discuss initiatives affecting procurement and/or sourcing related to CGP.Partners with suppliers and acts as an advocate for company interests relative to suppliers' actions and policies.Strong understanding of business operational processes, procedures, workflows and business operations.Must have a proactive, creative and analytic approach to continuous improvement in delivering procurement services and identifying new opportunities.Identifies/defines sourcing best practices both within and outside the Organization and ensures those best practices are adopted.Supports the qualification of supplier's & customers as per internal procedures.Set up and maintain a preferred vendor's list for CGP and the Responsible Person (RP).Ensure that all products listed are available and correct for each Supplier/Customer prior to the RP's approval.Monitor performance in relevant areas according to agreed standards and take necessary action to communicate/advise/assist according to performance levels.Liaise with Suppliers if/when a complaint arises and ensure CAPA Investigations are conducted. Initiate/support/request relevant information to ensure proper actions are taken to address any complaints requiring action.Manage & develop the key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor areas of responsibility and identify areas for improvement.
What your background should look like
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Professional Business or Engineering, degree preferred.At least 5 years' experience working in a multinational environment involved with supply chain.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook).Knowledge of SAP is essential.
