[Based in St. Gabriel, LA, the Process Control Engineer provides first-line process technical support to the plant operations control systems (DCS, PLC and SIS) to ensure safe and efficient operation. Chemical Engineering, instrumentation and control systems knowledge.Ability to perform standard chemical engineering calculations, e.g., fluid flow, pressure drop in piping. relief valve sizing, rupture disc sizing, distillation calculations, reaction calculations, material and energy balance calculations, physical property calculations, and heat exchanger sizing calculations, as they pertain to control systems.Proficient in control system hardware and software for DCSs, SISs and PLCs (specifically Honeywell Experion, Triconex and Rockwell)The position is responsible with providing a highly hazardous production area with technically sound advice and possessing ability to provide basic engineering designs.
