Job Description Summary
In this role you will lead the Process & Commodity Team as part of the larger Edison Works Engineering Delivery Team. You will be responsible for building and leading a team capable of providing commodity specific manufacturing (composites, fabrications, complex machined structures) and process (coating, welding, brazing, etc.) expertise to the Edison Works design teams to improve delivery times of development hardware. You and your team will work across disciplines and functional areas to engage with suppliers to help meet delivery timelines.

Uses in depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and/or commodities to consult internal NPI engineering teams process optimization.Manages a small to medium team of senior professionals as well as others. Requires specialized knowledge within manufacturing. Influence the development of strategy for manufacturing processes and commodities, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve processes. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of, manufacturing engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.Leads functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or collegeMinimum of 5 years of experience in Design or Manufacturing EngineeringAbility to obtain and maintain US DoD SECRET clearance
