Investor Solutions focuses on asset allocation, portfolio construction, manager research, and alternatives within a OCIO context as well as asset management context. Investor Solutions designs and implements investment strategies that are bespoke to client needs and objectives using a myriad of asset classes, investment strategies, and overlays.We're seeking Private Equity Analyst at Senior Associate level to join the Private Markets Group within our Investor Solutions business. This role can be located in Pittsburgh, PA or New York, NY. This is a hybrid working role.The primary function of the Private Markets Group is to provide Investor Solutions and Wealth Management clients with attractive private capital opportunities. The Private Markets Group has responsibility for selecting and monitoring private equity fund managers utilized within the Fugio Fund of Funds and other complementary solutions added to the Wealth Management and Investment Solutions platforms. The Private Equity Analyst will work alongside the Private Market Group's portfolio managers and play a supporting role in the diligence and research of venture capital and private equity funds.Role responsibilities:Assisting Portfolio Manager's in more complex aspects of the management of private equity and alternative investment portfolios.Working closely with the Portfolio Managers on the composition of portfolios and evaluate the effect of any strategy changes and analyse the suitability of the transaction.Prepare trades and monitor clearing compliance notifications.Responsibility with investment reporting and analytics and will support the marketing and client service teams on data requests.Mapping private market investment firms and recommending funds for further due diligence by the investment team.Attend and document in-person / virtual investment manager meetings and manage pipeline of new fund opportunities.Identify and incorporate industry research to support investment decisions in private market portfolios and utilize data in the marketing and reporting for the Fugio funds.Support the refinement and oversight of investment performance and holdings tracking / analytics within a reporting (Burgiss) system.Evaluate the use of other portfolio tracking and reporting systems for consideration by the Private Markets Group.Proactively research and assist with the creation of whitepapers and material that enhance and support the marketing of va ious Private Market solutions.Assist with analyzing private equity data including benchmarking and manager cash flows that support the portfolio management team.Initial travel will be limited with increased opportunities after advancement.To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:Bachelor's degree or equivalent.3-5 years of experience in investments, including some exposure to private markets.Strong quantitative skills and a background in financial modelling and analysis.Ability to write concisely and coherently and a proven track record of creating and preparing presentations.Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.At BNY Mellon, our inclusive culture speaks for itself. BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $58,900 and $128,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
