  Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal / Senior Principal Technical Services Project Management (Scrum Master) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.

  This role will be supporting the development of virtual reality training solutions, Virtual Maintenance Trainer (VMT) and Virtual Reality (VR) Development. These solutions entail creating and conducting training programs using virtual or computer-based simulations to train maintenance personnel.

  The project manager will provide organizational and technical leadership and direction across the Digital Manufacturing Technology (ManTech) thrust across multiple sites. This position will also involve managing project development thru production transition, providing mentorship to team members, and managing project goals, objectives, schedules and cost while adhering to company policy.

  As a member of the Advanced Manufacturing Technology & Innovation development team, you will define, develop, implement, and transition new technology solutions to manufacturing to increase efficiency, reduce cost, and improve quality. Manufacturing concept and process solutions for production applications cover advanced technologies including but not limited to composites fabrication, assembly, automation, inspection, direct part manufacturing, LO technologies, as well as digital capabilities. The role requires incorporation of requirements into development plans and evaluation of performance of processes and tools to verify their efficiency. In addition, you will identify and initiate corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure R&D contractual obligations (technical, schedule, and cost) are met and product quality is maintained.In this role, you will provide guidance regarding design concepts, TRL/MRL maturity, and specification requirements to best utilize resources and manufacturing techniques, and ensure processes and procedures are compliant with regulations. This role involves interfacing with internal and external customers, program offices, engineering disciplines, and executive management. In addition, the role will require the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently in a dynamic/fast-paced work environment. Budgeting and Project Management skills will be utilized to properly scope and execute assigned work and manage project efforts.

  Additional Job Responsibilities:

  This role will provide oversight of the Agile framework to ensure operational excellence in product deliveries. Provides guidance and helps educate the team in Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP), Kanban, and Scaled Agile framework (SAFe), ensuring that the Agile process is being followed. Helps remove impediments and fosters an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement.

   This position may be filled at a Level 3 or a Level 4 based on the qualifications outlined below.

  Basic Qualifications:

  Principal Technical Services Project Management (Level 3) Bachelor's in Science Degree with 5 years' experience in aviation, systems engineering, aerospace, manufacturing/production, Industrial Engineering, or Design Engineering; OR Master's Degree with 3 years' experience in aviation, systems engineering, aerospace, manufacturing/production, Industrial Engineering, or Design Engineering; OR PHD with 0 years of experience in aviation, systems engineering, aerospace, manufacturing/production, Industrial Engineering, or Design Engineering. 1 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. 3 years of experience in Program and/or Project Management. Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret level clearance to include Special Program Access within a reasonable period, as defined by the company to meet its business needs. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification Ability to travel (10% or less). Basic Qualifications:

  Sr. Principal Technical Services Project Management (Level 4) Bachelor's in Science Degree with 9 years' experience in aviation, systems engineering, aerospace, manufacturing/production, Industrial Engineering, or Design Engineering; OR Master's Degree with 7 years' experience in aviation, systems engineering, aerospace, manufacturing/production, Industrial Engineering, or Design Engineering; OR PHD with 4 years of experience in aviation, systems engineering, aerospace, manufacturing/production, Industrial Engineering, or Design Engineering. 1 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. 3 years of experience in Program and/or Project Management. Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret level clearance to include Special Program Access within a reasonable period, as defined by the company to meet its business needs. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification Ability to travel (10% or less). Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's in Science Degree in a STEM field or Master's degree in STEM field. Thorough knowledge of agile principles, practices, and methods, particularly Scrum Experience using ERP systems. Experience executing in an agile product owner capacity on a program with teams operating in different locations. Flexibility and willingness to take on unanticipated tasking. Experience with Dev Ops/ DevSecOps, and/or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Active DoD Secret Clearance. Current Special Program Access (PAR). Experience working with IPTs, other stakeholders, and various customers such as Air Force and Navy or similar. Proposal experience, and experience in other early phases of program lifecycle Prior experience operating in a dynamic environment of increasing production schedules and high delivery rates. Experience with SAP. Experience in hardware/software integration of manufacturing systems. Experience with production assembly/fabrication including Digital Transformation, Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality, Systems Integration, IIoT, RFID, and/or production manufacturing operations. Digital Manufacturing experience. Technical Writing capability. Project / Program Management skills (proposal creation, scheduling, budget tracking). Strong Familiarity with Process Development & Controls. Training and Learning Content Management Systems experience and knowledge preferred. Holds an advanced Scrum Master certification e.g. Professional Scrum Master (PSM) II / III, Safe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM). Experience and understanding of Earned Value Management in a software/training development environment. SAFe Product Manager/Product Owner (PM/PO) certification strongly desired. Experience with Software Integration and formal testing. Experience of Agile Coaching or qualifications including ICP-ATF, ICP-ACC or ICE-AC.Salary Range: $107,300 - $160,900

  Salary Range 2: $133,000 - $199,600

  The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

  Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
