We are seeking a person who is capable of being responsible for leading Agile Product Manager Engineering efforts, mentoring junior engineers, working extensively with Agile Development teams and Customer Stakeholders. We're looking for a highly motivated individual with an impeccable work ethic and a strong ability to work in a collaborative fast-moving dynamic team environment. The primary team is located in Tampa, Florida with distributed team members embedded directly with the customer.
The responsibilities of an TPM include:
The Technical Project Manager serves as the team liaison to/from program management, engineering, logistics, mission assurance, and customers.
Manage program-level scope, issues and risks, and quality management.
Development and delivery of presentations to customers, management, and other program stakeholders.
Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem-solving with program managers, line managers, and clients.
Focal point in driving engineering process development, continuous improvement, and affordability initiatives related to their specific program.
Frequent collaboration with internal company and external contacts for quality check inspections and create and maintain documentation.
Represents organization on specific projects and tracking metics. May make presentations to small groups.
Basic Qualifications
Technical Bachelor’s degree and 5 years’ experience, or Master’s and 3 years’ experience supporting the Department of Defense.
Experience working in Agile (SaFE) environments as a Product Owner of Product Manager.
The candidate must have experience in leadership and project management.
Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost, and achieving all requirements as either project lead (technical or manager), integrated program team, or cost account manager.
Strong communication (verbal and written) including presentation skills.
US Citizenship is required with an active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance which was active in the last 24 months
Must possess DoD 8570 Certification for IAT Level II or higher prior to start date.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cost, schedule, project leadership, and/or process improvement
Experience using Jira, Kanban
The ideal candidate has strong knowledge in the Cyber/IT field and has a collaborative style, with a strong sense of urgency and desire to get things done, and flexibility to adapt in a fast-changing environment.
PMP Certification
Salary Range: $92,600 - $139,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
