Overview
We are looking for an experienced program manager with strong leadership, relational skills, problem solving, and program delivery skills, and a demonstrated ability to enable cross-functional teams to tackle complex problems and deliver outcomes. This role will include creation and end-to-end leadership of a newly expanded compliance program. What you'll bring
Strong Program Management leadership experience, including 10+ years planning and leading a strategy and portfolio of programs and/or extremely large, complex program(s).
Demonstrated ability to influence at the VP level and above within a matrixed environment.
Expertise in platform technology, project/program framework best practices, tools, and techniques
Strong technical acumen with expertise in software development approach, architecture, and lifecycle
Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships across teams in delivering the best outcome of programs; a “people person” that can navigate across levels and teams with ease, and handle conflict, manage tradeoff and prioritization conversations, and drive focus and execution.
Preferences include:
Computer science or other technical education or equivalent work experience
Agile training and experience
Cybersecurity and/or Fraud Prevention experience
Compliance background/experience (SOX preferred)
How you will lead
Focus strategically
Has autonomy to work collaboratively with VP+ leaders in your space to drive the portfolio and overall Intuit strategy to accelerate the most strategic business outcomes
Understands industry trends, Intuit strategy and how the program fits into the overall strategy
Identifies when a decision or tradeoff is needed, drives discussions, assesses options, and provides principled and data driven recommendations to stakeholders for final decision
Enables teams to learn how to focus their work strategically, and systematically prioritize
Lead change
Generates broad executive level support for programs/portfolios
Partners with leadership to create a culture where teams are encouraged to share information, constructively debate and communicate freely
Evangelizes change and contributes to the development of a high performing team.
Establishes mechanisms to maintain a pulse on the organization during change, identifying themes and areas of friction and works with leadership to develop action plans
Enable scale
Defines and implements portfolio framework best practices that are repeatable and embody continuous improvement, drawing from many sources to continuously improve
Drives areas of improvement across the portfolio and work with stakeholders to implement to enable cross-Intuit acceleration
Drives the development of the program management craft and is viewed as a thought leader within the community, both within and outside of your immediate scope/program area
Coaches and mentors program managers and others in the organization to grow their skills
Domain expertise
Navigates many different program areas with ease, drawing from experience to accelerate outcomes, predict challenges, and prevent failures.
Expertise in software development approach, and applies appropriate SDLC methodologies to programs and deliver on engineering and operational excellence
Identifies and leverages expertise in others to reach solutions.
Deliver programs
Develops a new program/portfolio framework, operating mechanism, bringing together disparate workstreams and teams into one organized program
Develops and executes against a high quality plan that is organized into manageable pieces that can be individually owned at the portfolio level
Uses data to assess progress to plan, and outcomes and uses independent judgment to provide insights and communicate to stakeholders
Establishes mechanisms for the team to identify risks and issues and presents recommended response plans to stakeholders.
