  This position is for an experienced Materials Planning and SIOP professional who is responsible for the Materials Planning and Inventory Management process, and for making moderate improvements to systems and processes to enhance performance of work area and team. Works with internal team to develop process improvements and problem solutions. Plans, designs and executes activities that from a system perspective are directly related to the physical creation of RTX products and the functional operation of RTX facilities. Contains professional and para-professional disciplines.Primary Responsibilities:

  Develops strategies for materials planning and SIOPResponsible for the development of standardized processes within materials planning and SIOP in order to optimize the utilization of business resources and meet customer expectations for deliveryResponsible for the maintenance of indicators that enable visibility to short and long-term market trends and demandIdentifies appropriate demand streams and establishes data relationship linkages between supply, demand and inventory levels.Works with product development leaders, planning and supply chain teams to understand demand forecasts and establish contingency plansResponsible for supporting robust Master Data Parameters maintenance for planning capacity and fulfillment demand with plant manufacturing operationsWorks with Procurement and Planning teams and develops PFEP parametersIdentifies and develops new technologies to improve materials planning and SIOP capability, sustainability, and reliabilityResponsible for tracking appropriate metrics to drive results and continuous improvementResponsible for the development of processes and plans to improve inventory control and planning capabilitiesCreates and executes plan for every part and submits recommended master data changes for purchased parts, sub-assemblies, end items and other parts as required.Supports continuous management of the master demand schedule, including adherence to all required validations using the best information available, in order to provide long range OE and aftermarket demand visibility in support of financial planning, internal and external capacity management, and the overall SI&OP process.Support inventory planning settings maintenance to drive part shortage resolution.Qualifications/Experience Needed:

  Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experienceEffective communication and presentation skills in English and Spanish (verbal and written).U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contractPreferred Qualifications:

  Knowledge and experience in SAP or similar ERP systemAPICS certification, preferred.Previous experience in material planning, inventoryExperience in master data creation and maintenancePrior experience working with and analyzing large data setsPurchasing/Planning materials management experienceOpenness to learning new systems/processes/technologiesBasic Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma or COREStrong analytical skillsComfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting prioritiesProblem solver, team player and self starterCollins Aerospace, an RTX company, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry.
