Position Overview:
The Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) is seeking a Contracts Professional to support the exciting and strategic High Energy Laser (HEL) programs. As a key member of this Contract's team, this position will lead the day-to-day contract execution for United States Government (USG) Department of Defense (DoD) prime contracts with a heavy focus on Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs), development and sustainment programs.
The position will report directly to the Contracts Senior Manager of HEL programs and will need to collaborate closely with Program Manager and Cross-functional teams. This position is currently designated as fully remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories). Flexible work arrangement is available from McKinney, TX, Tewksbury, MA and Tucson, AZ. Some travel to other Raytheon sites and customer locations plus some domestic and international travel may be required.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Interface with customers for correspondence, contractual changes and contractual issues.
Influence others through the explanation of facts, policies and practices.
Investigate and resolve contractual matters by critically thinking, gathering detailed information, seeking innovative contracting techniques, and proactively collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
Provide advice/guidance on contractual rights/obligations, regulations, and policy/procedure to mitigate risks and unauthorized changes.
Review proposals to ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements, represent a balanced risk/opportunity posture and deliver a financially sound business case while meeting company policies and standards.
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
Experience in government or defense contracting such as administration/management of cost-type contracts, fixed-price type contracts, USG DoD contracts and/or Other Transaction Agreements
Experience in proposals development
Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Have strong decision making within a defined framework
Able to use clear and concise written and verbal communications

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
