Job Description
As a Principal Solution Architect at you will be an integral part of the End-to-End Solution Architecture team within the Digital Technology Experience group. Our mission is to craft scalable architectures that drive world-class digital experiences. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping solution architecture across various domains, including People, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Partner engagement.
Responsibilities:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and analyze how people, processes, and technology interact within current and future workflows.Compile, deliver, and promote end-to-end solution architecture roadmaps that guide product and service evolution.Compile, develop, and deliver architectural guardrails, ensuring compliance across multiple technology domains.Prepare visual diagrams of system architecture, functionality, and process flows, serving as a subject matter expert to guide technology strategy.Develop Microservices and API-based architectures, with deep knowledge of software solutions, tools, technologies, data acquisition, integration, web services, and SOA.Lead architecture development for automation of ERP applications and customer/employee workflows in complex technology environments.Work with product teams to understand capability roadmaps and leverage technology to create solutions.Create architecture and technical design documents, including High-Level Solution Design documents and proofs-of-concept (POC).Guide architectural decisions cross-functionally on strategic initiatives while building strong relationships across multiple stakeholder groups within Digital Technology teams.Collaborate with development, infrastructure, test, and production support teams to ensure proper implementation of solutions.Educate teams on available and emerging toolsets, present solutions to leadership teams, and adapt communication style to both technical and non-technical audiences.Collaborate with Technology and Product Leadership Teams, Vendors, Partners, Developers, QA Testers, Enterprise Architecture team, Security, and Operations teams.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent; Master's degree preferred.15+ years progressive experience as a lead solution architect in a large and complex technology landscape.Demonstrate expert-level understanding of at least 1-2 of the following domains: People, Finance, Legal, Risk, Sales, Marketing, Digital Enterprise Portals and ECMServiceNow Certified Master Architect and/or Certified Technical Architect [BB1] [SM2] preferredExperience in building large scalable systems on Web, Mobile, and Cloud ecosystems.A strong understanding of the ServiceNow Platform is a mustStrong interpersonal skills and executive presence to drive presentations with VPs and aboveLed Digital/SaaS/Enterprise Software enabled transformations with hands-on experience in design, implementation, and management.Knowledge and experience with ServiceNow's product suites is highly preferred.Mastery of development tools and expertise with modern programming languages (Node JS, React JS, HTML 5, Angular JS, CSS, Java).Ability to articulate the relationship between business strategy and technology strategy, including working with vendors for 3rd party solutions.Strong communication skills (written/verbal) with varied audiences.Experience modeling "as-is" and "to-be" architectures based on product and business roadmaps.Experience in architecting scalable UI and/or API platforms is preferred.Experience in Cloud and digital technology strategies, information security/cybersecurity alignment, federated identity, complex event processing, and embedded real-time monitoring.Proficiency in architecture development, product development using C++, Java/Objective C, JSON, messaging protocols, Event-based architecture, and Microservices.Understanding of Agile and Scrum-based models, system and design thinking approaches, data acquisition, integration, ETL, infrastructure, profiling, and reporting.Familiarity with web services implementations, service-oriented architectures, microservices architecture, Mobile Application Architecture Patterns, Mobile Application Security, Deployment, and Maintenance Strategies.Excellent organizational skills, ability to work effectively, and independently prioritize tasks in a fast-changing environment.Highly self-motivated, results-driven, team-oriented, and able to work cross-functionallyTOGAF or related Certification preferred.#DTjobs
