　　Jira Data Mobility (JDM) is all about helping people stay in control while they move data into and across Jira Cloud. Enterprise customers consider the capability to move large amounts of data within and outside their cloud site as an important functionality for getting ready to use Atlassian's cloud offerings. We build and support data movement paths powering Server to Cloud, Cloud to Cloud and External to Cloud data migrations for Jira product. Our goal is to have SCALABLE, SEAMLESS and SUPER PREDICTABLE data movement offering for Jira cloud customers.

　　We're looking for a full-time Tech Lead Engineer to join our team, focused on delivering creative improvements for our engineering teams. You'll be part of the Jira Platform Data Mobility group (JDM) and you'll report to a Senior Engineering Manager.

　　As part of JDM team you will work with product managers and Architects, influencing the direction of the product and collaborating with team to get there. You'll write code and ship product capabilities that you are proud of and deliver amazing results that our customers love!

　　What you'll do:

　　Tackle the most complex projects on the team, from technical design to launchDetermine plans-of-attack on large projectsWork with project plans and ensure teams are unblocked for execution, anticipating issues and proposing mitigation steps.De-Risk complex tasks with prototypes, and multi team coordination activitiesPartner across engineering teams to take on company-wide projectsLead code reviews & documentation, and take on complex bug fixes, especially on high-risk problemsMentor junior members of the teamHandle complex architecture challenges and apply architectural standards and start using them on new projects

　　Your background:

　　11+ years experience in multiple hands-on software/technology leadership roles, with end-to-end responsibility through the software development lifecycleExperience delivering large (multi-person or multi-team) and complex efforts- architecting, designing, and building large-scale distributed systems.Focus on execution to lead the long-term strategy.Bachelor's degree with a preference for Computer Science degreeExperience maintaining cross-team relationshipsExpertise with one or more prominent languages such as Java, Python, Kotlin, Go is required.Understanding of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS industry with hands-on experience with public cloud offerings (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure)Experience with Java, Spring, REST and NoSQL databasesExperience building event-driven based on SQS, SNS, Kafka or equivalent technologiesKnowledge to evaluate trade-offs between correctness, robustness, performance, space and timePractice in mentoring other engineers and influencing decision makers throughout the organisationConsider the customer impact when making technical decisions

　　Experience in Developer Experience or Developer Productivity.Some experience working with data streaming and associated stack.2+ years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.2 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving, and cross-business projects.
