　　The Role / Responsibilities:

　　A The Principal Software Engineer will be a part of the DevOps team in the MA Platform Engineering

　　organization. He or she is to be an integral part of the MA Platform Engineering's software development.

　　process ensuring that the DevOps engineering function materially accelerates the productivity of the

　　development, QA, and operations teams through automation and repeatable processes.

　　Collaborate with development team to define architecture, optimize performance, and right size

　　environments.

　　Work closely with development teams to optimize workflow processes.

　　Deep knowledge of continuous integration and configuration management tools.

　　Hands on working experience with public cloud infrastructure eg. AWS, Azure or GCP.

　　Expertise across infrastructure technical environments and extensive knowledge of most business

　　areas.

　　Defines DevOps along with quality guidelines and standards.

　　Is part of the project planning and execution processes.

　　Define roadmap for new technologies and tools.

　　Mentor engineers responsible for coding and updates.

　　Provide development, test and production environment operational support.

　　Qualifications:

　　Comprehensive expertise (8+ years) in the following areas:

　　o Subject matter expert in multiple infrastructure technology areas.

　　o Extensive experience in leading DevOps organization.

　　o Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex problems or processes, identify and

　　understand requirements, and develop alternative solutions.

　　o Extensive Cloud experience (Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform)

　　especially in architecting, deploying, and managing production code at scale.

　　BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

　　Hands on software development experience in C#, Java or similar language

　　Grow and mentor junior engineers

　　Additional education attainment and/or training certifications are preferred especially in area(s) of

　　specialization.

　　Deep knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) including Agile Development

　　Methodology

　　Excellent communication, interpersonal, and consultative skills.

　　Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

　　Ability to stay current on trends and development within functional area of experience along with the industry.

　　Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

　　Willingness to learn, a can-do attitude, and motivated to succeed and grow.

　　* Must demonstrate accountability, sound decision making, analytical thoroughness, clear and concise communications, and the ability to lead and mentor team members.
