Responsibilities
You will be designing and implementing a foundational cloud service, working in an agile team focused on rapid deliveries of incremental value to Microsoft’s core business. You will be required to investigate, design, integrate, and implement modular service code across multiple software projects. You will be expected to provide leadership to your team members and other engineers.
Design, implement, test, deploy, and operate massive scale, highly available/extensible and robust cloud services.
Drive thinking and improvements for systems and engineering processes with simplicity and maintainability as core tenets.
Deliver value through a collaborative approach spanning many teams across geographies.
Provide technical leadership, partner, mentor, and help mentor engineers through sharing and learning.
Foster a culture of inclusivity and disciplined software engineering practices to deliver business value, guided by data.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Javao OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Verbal and written communications skills.
Demonstrable ability to own and deliver projects and results of increasing technical complexity.
Data driven approach to analyzing and solving problems, with a solid bias for quality and engineering excellence.
A great team player with effective collaboration and communication skills across disciplines, levels, and product teams

Software Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.
