Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
Responsibilities
This is a Principal Software Engineer position that will involve the following :
Main Responsibilities:
Test, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
Test and Automation of Oracle 5G application software on cloud native platform.
Review product requirements documentation and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases covering this material.
Interact with Product Management teams to ensure proper test coverage and high quality of the projects delivered to production.
Work in Agile team to develop and revise testing strategies and test cases.
Perform test execution, test analysis and all phases of testing, including functional, regression, performance, usability, integration, acceptance, etc.
Troubleshoot and analyze application issues to root cause where possible.
Automate testcases using Test Automaton framework and enhance test framework where necessary.
Troubleshoot and analyze escalated field issues to determine root-cause.
Participate in software design and design discussions to improve the software performance, maintainability, serviceability, and reliability.
Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in the following areas are required:
Experience in Testing and Test Automation of telecom applications.
Exposure to 5G Protocols and End to End call flows
Experience in Cloud native technologies (micro services)
Experience in Agile methodology.
Experience using Kubernetes and Docker based framework.
Experience with networking protocol or networking software testing.
Experience in test automation using BDD framework and python.
Experience in shell scripting and proficiency in linux.
Ability and exposure to work directly from specification like IETF RFCs and 3GPPP TSs.
Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities.
Experience in deploying software in large telecom environment.
Excellent team skills, can-do attitude, focus on quality and drive to make a difference in a dynamic, fast paced organization.
Knowledge and/or experience in one or more of the following is preferred:
5G Network Testing, TCP/IP, SCTP/IP, IP multimedia Subsystem (IMS) and LTE
Performance Testing and Monitoring
Ability to work with geographically dispersed teams
Experience on telecom technologies (2G, 3G, 4G/LTE, 5G)
Working experience in following technologies are preferred: Python, BDD Framework, Jenkins, Oracle DB, MySQL DB, Perl Scripts, Linux, Bash scripting, RPMs, Docker, Kubernetes, Microservices, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, IoT, Cloud, NFV
Job Requirements:
BS/MS in computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
A minimum of 10+ years of software testing experience.
