Principal Risk Associate, Card Credit Policy Controls
Principal Risk Associates at Capital One are highly motivated Risk Management professionals with excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. These skills allow the Principal Risk Associate to gain insights, and act as a change agent to influence their business partners. A successful Principal Risk Associate operates from a foundation of knowledge about the Line of Business with whom they are working, laws / regulations and good Risk Management practices. They are forward thinking, quick to adapt, and technologically adept.
The Principal Risk Associate will have a high level of exposure across the Card business and have the opportunity to work with Executives to create and implement innovative solutions to appropriately manage risks within the business.
Responsibilities:
Execute credit policy controls which includes monitoring adherence to Credit Policy requirements across the Card business
Perform control testing on credit controls performed by other team members
Develop management reporting based on control outputs
Partner with data analysts to iterate and improve upon control monitoring and reporting
Synthesize data and perform analysis to bring valuable business insights to the Card business
Consult with credit policy transaction testers to streamline similar tasks
Assist with credit policy transaction testing and other risk and control processes as needed

Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
At least 1 year of financial services or risk management experience
At least 3 years of project or process management experience
At least 3 years of experience supporting, partnering, and interacting with internal business clients
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or military experience
3+ years of financial services or risk management experience
4+ years of project or process management experience
4+ years of experience supporting, partnering, and interacting with internal business clients
1+ year of experience in control design or testing
1+ years of experience with product management or defining requirements for technical development
