As a Principal Research Scientist, you will be working with a unique and gifted team developing exciting products for customers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Our team is fast-paced, highly collaborative and is organized like a startup. This is role is a key leader in the organization and sets the vision and strategy for Development.

Key job responsibilities
• Establish and execute the development strategy in full compliance with sound practice, as well as current guidelines, regulations, and company procedures.
• Provide development representation and content in key governance meetings and management reviews.
• Lead interactions with government regulatory bodies
• Identify and hire key talent
• Interact, as appropriate, with third‐party organizations, other partners, and government officials as needed.

Basic Qualifications
10+ years of research/development experience with increasing responsibility
Experience working within a government-regulated industry
MD degree
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building a new function from the ground up
Experience working in a start-up environment
