Shipping Technology team is looking for a Principal Program Manager who will be responsible for leading a team that works with 26+ WW business and Operations teams to gather shipping related requirements and collaborate with transportation technology teams to integrate launch these enhanced capabilities into the network. As part of this process, a program manager leads the analysis of requirements, development of Amazon technical requirements, and implementation of scalable solutions.

The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, have superior verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, able to juggle multiple stakeholders at once, able to work independently, has led large teams and maintain professionalism under pressure. You must be able to identify problems before they happen, and drive robust processes. You must be able to accurately prioritize projects, make sound judgments, and work to improve customer experience.
Key job responsibilities
ShipTech Program team manages prioritization and delivery of technical programs for Shipping/Transportation Tech (e.g. setting up logistics technology systems for launching new countries for Amazon, new logistics carriers in existing and new countries, new logistics services in new and existing carriers etc). This teams direct internal customers are the business teams and operations teams across geographies who need transportation tech capabilities. The team is looking for a seasoned program manager to lead a team of program managers working with ShipTech MTLS and SPEC teams and achieve the following objectives:
Setting up vision for the AFN business intakes pool to ensure successful delivery
Being proactive towards building business solutions and looking for synergy opportunities
Understanding Amazon’s priorities across worldwide businesses and Translating these business priorities to technical requirements.
Aligning quarterly roadmaps across worldwide stakeholders (planning additional hiring or moving headcount across teams or re-prioritizing projects to fit the headcount budget).
Monthly bandwidth planning across projects and communication with stakeholders globally.
Process improvement so that we are able to reduce our time to market to launch new capabilities for our customers globally.
Enable granular reporting to the leadership for the key metrics and goals the team owns.

Basic Qualifications
7+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
7+ years of program or project management experience
7+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience
Bachelor's degree
Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Preferred Qualifications
Experience delivering projects within scope, time, budget and quality
