Principal Product Specialist (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Burlington, MA): Will be responsible for providing operational and investment management application support to CRD customers and internal business functions to minimize the adverse impact of incidents and problems to the customer and prevent reoccurrences of issues. Specific duties of the position include: helping Portfolio Managers and Traders with technological questions and issues; utilizing knowledge of fixed income and equity financial instruments, including derivatives, options, futures, municipal/corporate/bank loans, and hedge funds in the performance of assigned job duties; utilizing trading software applications such as Bloomberg and Reuters, data analytics tools such as SQL in the performance of assigned job duties; analyzing complex problems, answering questions, and providing training related to the Charles River Investment Management software; decomposing complex issues into primitive components, performing root cause assessments, and recommending appropriate solutions; identifying and testing workarounds for bugs or deficiencies in the investment management software; researching issues dealing with third party software used as components of the investment management software; assist implementation and support to resolve escalated client issues; assisting the product/development team in getting the right requirements from the client for any enhancements/bug fix in the application; following a standard set of procedures and methods when responding to customer requests and inquiries; conducting research on questions and issues using available information resources and other product specialists; maintaining a detailed log of all customer interactions and preparing resolution reports for issues reported by customers; utilizing and administering issue management software according to defined standards; Responding to requests for technical assistance via the customer support portal; cross-training peers and less experienced staff in product areas and in properly assessing and resolving issues; following all methods and processes guidelines established as standard support operating procedures; and meeting and exceeding customer satisfaction metrics established for the support organization. Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Business or a related field; plus 5 years of experience in any occupation providing experience in Financial Instruments and supporting Trading Desk with technological issues and questions. Alternatively, Master's degree or equivalent in Finance, Business or a related field; plus 3 years of experience in any occupation providing experience in Financial Instruments and supporting Trading Desk with technological issues and questions.
Must have: demonstrated experience with fixed income and equity financial instruments, including derivatives, options, futures, municipal/corporate/bank loans, and hedge funds; demonstrated knowledge of trading software applications such as Bloomberg, Reuters; demonstrated experience with SQL; demonstrated experience with relational database concepts on specific database platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle; demonstrated experience with operating system principles, and general data structures; and demonstrated experience with three tier application architecture.
