About Principal Product Manager - CTJ - Top Secret

  Do you have a passion for high scale services and working with some of Microsoft’s most critical customers? We’re looking for a motivated, independent, and energetic Principal Program Manager to drive complex project requirements, cross-team communication, and execution accountability across both technology and business projects within the Office 365 government cloud service offerings.

   

  Office 365 is at the center of Microsoft’s cloud first, devices first strategy as it brings together cloud versions of our most trusted communication and collaboration products like Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams with our cross-platform desktop suites and mobile apps. The Office 365 Enterprise Cloud team works with Microsoft’s largest enterprise and government customers to deliver features that meet their specific needs and enable cloud adoption. As you would expect, our customers have the highest expectations for feature quality, security, reliability, availability, and performance.

  The Product Management team collaborates with Office Site Reliability Engineering teams to provide leadership, direction, and delivery of Office 365 services. Product Managers collaborate and work with various stakeholders, including other product managers, customers, Site Reliability Engineers, and engineering teams, to ensure timely delivery of services and systems, efficient resolution of incidents, and satisfaction of our government customers and users.

  Responsibilities

  Drive the engineering solutions, implementation design, and defining overall strategy required to scale service operations and ensure uptime of the government Office 365 cloud services

  Communicates strategic objectives with executive leadership partners across business and engineering organizations

  Execute operational programs and respective projects across multiple product managers and engineering teams

  Work independently to drive large, complex programs and solutions

  Partner closely with O365 Site Reliability Engineering, partner engineering teams, and other corporate teams to understand business needs, customer requirements, and build scaled solutions

  Leads process of defining problems and incubating solutions for a team or organization.

  Influences the long-term vision and strategy for the feature areas based on a deep understanding of customer needs, business goals, and strategy.

  Serves as an expert in identifying data-driven long-term, solution-level investment opportunities, and more for multiple feature areas across divisional boundaries.

  Drives the roadmap for the multiple feature areas they own across divisional boundaries.

  Collaborates with stakeholders to identify product release criteria and other relevant information.

  Partners with others to collect performance metrics, derive deep insights, and drive productive courses of action across teams and the business.

  Qualifications

  Required/Minimum Qualifications

  Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  OR equivalent experience.

  Other Qualifications

  Security Clearance Requirements : Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  Candidates must have an active TS and be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI (with polygraph) or have an active TS/SCI and be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI (with polygraph). This role will require candidates to maintain the TS/SCI (with polygraph) clearance. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination

  Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter

  Clearance Verification : This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment

  Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customer and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport, or other approved documents, or verified US government Clearance

  Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  OR equivalent experience

  Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.
