The Opportunity
Our broad portfolio of Digital Media products and solutions enables our customers to create, deliver, and measure personalized experiences that their users can access from virtually any device. Our solutions include: Adobe Creative Cloud, which offers the most innovative tools and cloud-based services for creating digital media; and Adobe Document Cloud, which provides a modern way to handle documents at home, in the office and across devices.
The Adobe Corporate Partnerships team is focused on delivering material growth and market share expansion through strategic product and technology partnerships with responsibility for sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and implementing partnership deals for Adobe Document Cloud. As a Principal in the Corporate Partnerships team, you will work closely with cross-functional team members and executive leadership to drive successful partner deals with the largest strategic players in the ecosystem to advance Document Cloud objectives.
What You'll Do
Gain deep knowledge about Adobe Acrobat and the PDF ecosystem, including business model, customer segmentation, customer workflows, product offerings, competitors, marketing and GTM.Act as a highly effective business development and strategy resource to the applicable Adobe business unit who builds strategic partnership frameworks that achieve key business objectives.Identify, scope out, and drive engagements with strategic partners that have potential to meet Document Cloud objectives.Drive consensus and approval from business unit collaborators and executive leadership to formally engage in deal negotiation with applicable strategic partners, including business terms for such deals.Negotiate complex strategic partnerships with third parties from inception to final contract signature.What You'll Need to Succeed
15+ years of experience in business development or strategic partnerships negotiating bespoke, first-of-its kind dealsAbility to operate with a high degree of independence to identify and evaluate new business opportunities, build partnership strategy, assess market opportunity / competitive landscape, and develop financial / business modelsConsistent track record of building high trust relationship and driving consensus internally across product, marketing, legal, finance, sales and more; proficiency leading discussions about complex business decisions with executive leadershipExperience with negotiating complex legal agreements with large, strategic partnersAbility to act as a creative, strategic problem solver, incessantly seeking opportunities to materially impact the business.Nice to Have
Familiarity with Adobe Document Cloud services and Adobe Acrobat product lines.Experience building third party apps for efficiency platforms such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, DropBox and Box.Experience in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) or technology licensing.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $137,300 -- $252,600 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
