Are you ready to start defining possible with Northrop Grumman? If so, our Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Network Communications professional for Whiteman AFB, MO.
You will maintain smooth operation of local area, worldwide and virtual private networks (VPN). You will plan, evaluate, and coordinate installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network. Maintain technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. May propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings. You will also prepare or ensure that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions. Provide regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems. May coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment. May design network or portion of network that include selection of hardware and software packages.
You shall provide software administrative support/authority on Special Programs Logistics Support resources. This requires appropriate training/certification which enables software upload/download and capability to downgrade software security classifications. You shall assist on and off aircraft maintenance when software issues are involved and provide subject matter expertise to implement corrective actions. You shall provide software sustainment maintenance and configuration management for application software. You will also coordinate with external agencies for compatibility and availability of software.

Basic Qualifications
High school Diploma and 9 years of relevant experience; or 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; or 3 Years with Masters in Science.
Minimum of 3 years' working with Link-16 and other tactical data links.
experience with Adaptable Communications Suite (ACS).
Technical expertise in networks and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, which could include UHF radios, routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
Active Secret level security clearance is required.
Able to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. passport.
Aable to accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 120 days away from primary work location and comply with mobility requirements such as chemical warfare training.
Obtain certification of basic task, knowledge, and technical reference asterisk items on the ACS training plan no later than 4 months after hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Top Secret clearance preferred and SCI eligible.Salary Range: $79,800 - $119,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
