  Job Description

  This is a strategic position, and we are looking for a strong leader with proven track record. We are looking for a technical leader who provides direction, leadership, and specialist knowledge to Cloud Solution team to assist in designing, demonstrating, and deploying Oracle Cloud architectures that address customer business problems. Guides team to drive Oracle Cloud customer consumption through accelerating the adoption of Oracle cloud services. Responsible for advising and managing resources, typically through others, to work with customers, sales, engineering, and product teams to design and implement solutions for customers. Establishes and communicates business objectives, metrics and plans to ensure attainment of business strategy. Leads the implementation of solutions, ensures successful deployments, provides direction on code development and scripting. Coordinates the support of customers from Proof of Concept (POC) through production deployment of services, resource configuration, planning, and customer education/training. Frequent interaction with C level.

  Responsibilities

  Builds entire systems & services. A leader on their team. Improves their director’s organization in some subset of shared code, engineering practices, ops practices, development process, ownership, hiring, mentoring. May often collaborate closely across teams.

  Writes correct, secure, maintainable, robust code and appropriate tests. Drives design of their features & subsystems. Drives operational readiness & excellence of their features & subsystems. Collaborates on planning and identifying and mitigating risks in their project and on architecture of their system/service.

  Works independently on their project. May occasionally need guidance when working on cross team projects. Seeks input and collaboration when appropriate, e.g., on tradeoffs that may affect customers or business goals.

  Trusted to serve as Tier0 or specialized escalation point for operations events. Serves as primary point of contact for resolving complex operations issues. Develops new metrics and dashboards to improve situational awareness. Leads operational assessments for complex systems ensuring operational issues and potential failure modes are accounted for. Participates in cross - organizational programs like incident reviews, architecture discussion, building cloud regions, standards and best practices for operations, resiliency, and availability.

  Hiring Range: from $94,200 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

  Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

  Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  11 paid holidays

  Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
