The AWS Talent Development team is looking for an innovative practitioner with executive development, executive coaching, and leadership assessment experience to serve as the Principal, Executive Development Partner for the AWS Infrastructure Services and Applications businesses. In this role, you will partner with business-aligned Talent Leads to support their vision, strategy, priorities, and actions required to maximize the potential of our executive talent and build a strong pipeline for our most critical roles.
This is a great opportunity for a strong systems thinker and builder to directly impact mechanisms we use to identify, develop, and deploy AWS executive talent. As a senior member of the AWS Talent Development team, this role provides ample opportunity to design innovate solutions and regularly engage with key HR and business leaders. This role requires dealing with a high level of ambiguity and feeling comfortable operating in a space often with little direction to solve hard, complex talent and organizational business problems. You must also be an excellent operator who can break down large plans into tangible initiatives and goals, and track these closely to deliver results.
Key job responsibilities
Serve as a strategic consultant and thought partner for their Talent Lead.
Provide service delivery for assigned workload across our executive development portfolio, which may include: executive onboarding, leadership assessment and coaching, and program design and facilitation.
Design, build and deliver business-specific executive development solutions as needed.
Represent Talent Lead priorities and feedback during AWS Talent Development roadmap and program reviews.
Build mechanisms to engage with the Talent Lead and partner teams.
Use data-driven insights to improve executive development mechanisms and measure impact.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
10+ years progressive experience partnering with senior executives and managing complex programs and solutions with demonstrated impact
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s degree or PhD in Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or an MBA
• Completion of an International Coaching Federation accredited leadership coaching certification program
• Experience with the design, development, and delivery of experiential executive development programs
• Familiar with assessment-for-development tools (e.g., Amazon 360, Korn Ferry-CTD, Hogan, DISC)
• Strong business partnering skills and HR acumen, including problem solving skills, critical thinking abilities, coaching skills, project management abilities
• Ability to influence and partner with different levels of the organization and across countries to achieve results
• Proven project management skills including planning work, prioritizing and managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, using time well, and delivering results with tight deadlines
• Experience driving large scale change management initiatives across multiple geographies and business lines
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, paired with sound business judgment and ability to see around corners
• Proven ability to influence without authority, motivate cross-functional teams, and self-start
• Proficiency with data gathering, analysis, and presentation of insights
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and prioritize, manage, and complete projects with tight deadlines

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $225,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
