Job Description About This Role
Enterprise Architecture plays a critical role with technology selection and implementation within the Biogen global landscape. As a key role within Enterprise Application Services, the Principal Enterprise Architect is accountable for ensuring that the IT technical landscape is proactively managed through proper architecture design and implementation, technology selection and lifecycle. Enterprise Architects establish standards and roadmaps for technology and applications, participate in the large product selection processes, and play key role in governance processes including the Architecture Review Board (ARB), Reference Architectures, Standards and Models. For large cross-functional projects, Enterprise Architect takes overall responsibility for the program architecture.
What You’ll Do
Drive the Governance processes of Enterprise Architecture (ARB/TRB, Reference Architecture/Standards)Advise on technology selection and implementation processes across all functionsCreate project/program architecture for large, cross-functional projectsDefine and maintain architecture modelsDevelop and maintain standards, policies, technical, and process roadmaps across all stakeholder facing groupsParticipate in the Enterprise Architecture Community efforts to build standard roadmaps and ensure governance across the functional IT groups Who You Are
You are an experienced enterprise architect with expertise across multiple architecture domains - business, technology, application, data. You have strategic mindset and excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex problems and tradeoffs to different audiences.
Qualifications Required Skills
Expert understanding of foundational architectural concepts and architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman) and toolsAdvanced architecture modeling and roadmapping skillsExperience with implementing enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, HRMS, MES, ITSM) and defining architecture on large projectsModern technology trends awareness, experience with running POCs of innovative technologies and performing platform selection/trade-off analysisBiotech/pharma experience and understanding of the compliance requirements in the industry Excellent communication and presentation skills Preferred Skills
