Manages overall project requirements, reliability, logistics, coordination of different teams, evaluation measurements, and other disciplines for large or complex projects.Coordinates control engineering, industrial engineering, organizational studies, and project management.Monitors budgets, cost, effectiveness, and reliability of activities and make recommendations to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and ensure that standards are met.Manages work-processes, optimization methods, and risk management tools for large or complex projects.Researches, evaluates and recommends investments or changes in technology, resources, procedures, equipment, systems, or other assets to improve the quality of the organization's systems products and services.Provides analysis for the decomposition of customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements, and makes recommendations for the generation of verification criteria and plans for the requirements.Required Qualifications:
At least a master's degree or its equivalent in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field of study and at least 5 years of experience as a Systems Engineer or related role. In the alternative, a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in a STEM field of study and at least 8 years of progressive experience as a Systems Engineer or related role would be acceptable.At least 5 years of experience working with FAA, SAE & RCTA regulations including development of Technical Standard Orders in accordance with FAA CFR Title 14 Part 21, FAA Order 8110.49, RCTA DO-178B/C, DO-254, DO-160, DO-297, SAE ARP4754, ARP5413, ARP5414, ARP5415, ARP5416, and ARP5417.The salary range for this position is $130,900 to $177,100 per year.RTX is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
