  WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  As a Principal Engineer, you will own the rollout, deployment, and adoption of the experimentation and personalization platform. Lead and build positive relationships with strategic partners to influence product roadmaps and influence the efficient usage of marketing capabilities. This is a key capability central to Nike's consumer-direct acceleration strategy to drive daily engagement, member retention, and growth for Nike Direct business! This role will lead across the enterprise as we reset our technical strategy and engage with strategic partners to accelerate the roadmap.You will be a forward-thinking technology leader with a keen business sense and experience in bringing experimentation and personalization capabilities to life with strategic partners.

  WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

  Designing and delivering high-impact experimentation and personalization solutions to our customers across the consumer journey on Nike App, web, owned and earned channels.Designs solutions that are enterprise scalable and maintainable. Able to consider a breadth of data use cases.Transform (build/buy/recommend) our technology stack for experimentation and personalization with an eye towards consumer experience and registration growth.Be an advocate for our users, and drive innovation in the consumer experience of everyday athletes.Works in a consultative fashion to improve communication, collaboration and alignment among teams inside and outside of the organization.Drives research, case studies, and prototypes on innovative technologies and how they can be validated.Ensures that we are continuously raising our standard of engineering excellence.Build and maintain a culture of humility, execution excellence, collaboration, mentorship, and open feedback.

  WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

  Lead cross functional teams of engineers, technical product & program managers and partner closely with a shared enterprise data and analytics group.Partner end-to-end with Product Managers, Application Architects, Data Scientists, Designers and Researchers to understand customer requirements, design prototypes, and bring innovative technologies to production.Partner with leadership to develop a technology strategy that enables our products and user experiences to be more data-driven, experimental, and deeply personalized.Partner with Marketing Product peers and Business Leaders to craft the digital systems of the future.

  WHAT YOU BRING?

  Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.8+ years of experience in software development.Experience in data engineering or analytics preferred.Experience as a Full-stack Solutions Architect for Web and App.Experience crafting/developing web and app applications and APIs.Experience in the technology stack including Java, React, Next.js, Swift, Kotlin, Scala, Kafka, Spark, Kinesis, Cloud technologies (AWS Preferred).Hands-on experience in experimentation and A/B testing platforms like Adobe Target, Optimizely etc. and analytics platforms like Adobe Analytics.Experience with CDN and Caching technologiesKnowledge of at least one Python web framework (such as Django, Flask, Bottle, etc. depending on your technology stack) is preferred.Experience in designing and implementing UI and UX.Experience on Data Structure & Algorithms preferred.Experience in DevOps with CD/CI and following code through production operation and trouble shooting issues during and following releases.Ability to provide (informal) coaching to team members to support their understanding of the architecture and aid in their technical development.Experience with and understanding of data modeling concepts, techniques and best practices.Proficiency with source control systems, especially Git.
