　　At TJX, the mission of the Global Finance Technology Organization is to develop, sustain, and enhance modern financial solutions that drive informed financial operations, analysis, insights, and decisions that enable TJX financial stability and accelerate company growth. We are embarking on a multiyear journey to modernize and enhance over 60 applications in our portfolio across Record-to-Report and Procure-to-Pay value streams to deliver more value for our global business partners.

　　We are looking for a Principal Engineer with deep knowledge and experience to design and implement business functionality in the Global Finance Technology Organization. This leader of others is expected to drive the technical direction, guide engineers, and define engineering best practices & strategies in service of delivering value to customers and leading by example as part of a highly competent engineering organization. Our engineers are customer-facing, and the ability to simply technical concepts and communicate to audiences at all levels is critical.

　　KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

　　Leader on the Program Team for the Global Finance ART, working within and outside of the engineering discipline to drive value for the company and set an example of engineering excellence.Maintains broad technology knowledge in business applications/services within the Finance value streams, and the applicability to business enablement.Adapt at delivering scalable, reliable, highly available and secure solutions.Publishes and maintains design best practice methodologies and standards.Identifies emerging technologies for consideration for new technology direction.Set standards for designing, coding, deploying, and supporting software & technology components.Creates threat models, architecture, estimates, design, code, COTS configuration for business features.Ensures solution design meets requirements for operational excellence, including interoperability, security, monitoring, and system resilience.Acts in lead engineer capacity for initiatives, prioritizing and assigning tasks, and providing guidance to resolve issues.Models an engineering mindset as a thought leader for the organization, coaching more junior engineers and other technology professionals.Leads discussions on design approaches to solving visible, strategic and complex business problems.Ensures solutions are compliant with SOX and controls requirements within TJX.Ensures best engineering practices are followed/adopted for operational excellence.Takes initiative to identify and solve important problems, coordinating cross-functionally.Partners with stakeholders to drive technical solutions that meet business needs.Contributes to high level architecture to drive engineering & operational excellence.Acts as an escalation point for issues related to delivery of technical components.Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work up and down within the organization to influence others and achieve results.Demonstrates TJX leadership competencies and ways-of-working to informally influence results.

　　WHAT YOU'LL NEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)

　　Bachelor's Degree or equivalent engineering skillset, training, or technical work experience10+ years of engineering experience, with at least 3+ years of leading and developing engineers through direct or indirect reportingAt least 5+ years of experience in the Finance application domainKnowledge of Finance applications such as Oracle EBS, SAP S/4HANA, ERPs, OneStream, Vertex, ReconNet, Transepta, C2FO, OneSource, IBM Planning Analytics, Itamlink, Lucernex, Bottomline, or other key financial applicationsExperience with DevSecOps and CI/CD processes and toolsExperience as a technical lead on large full lifecycle implementations of SaaS and on-prem applicationsExperience in agile methodologyTechnical leader with extensive business facing experience, taking ideas from conception to implementationDeep knowledge of ERP systems and their implementationsExperience with source code control and continuous integration toolsProblem solving and critical thinking skills to solve complex business problems

　　Knowledge of Java, .NET Framework, ERP applications, SQL Server, PL/SQL, etc.Knowledge of middleware and integration technologies such as Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, MOVEitCloud experience (Azure, AWS)Experience with source control management (e.g. Git) and Continuous Integration Tools (e.g. Jenkins)
