Position Overview
This position plays a critical role in developing business opportunities with the US Government, focusing on CHIPS Act programs and research opportunities with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and US Government Labs. Responsibilities include working with the VP of Strategic Government programs and Siemens Technology to identify and align US Government future requirements to Siemens R&D roadmaps. The role also involves influencing Siemens regional entities (Siemens USA, Siemens Government Technologies) to promote and develop microelectronics solutions for relevant US and EU funded programs, as well as collaborating internal Siemens leads in identifying funding for workforce development.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following activities:
• Support VP of Government Programs to develop strategic technology investment priorities
• Provide leadership to DIB-USG Sales teams in customer engagement and EDA revenue capture
• Coordinate with R&D divisions on assessment of strategic impact of product roadmaps
• Develop/pursue Government opportunities for dual-use R&D investment
• Develop Government funding proposals as a subcontractor to SGT and other 3rd parties
• Provide object-focused directives and evaluation of SGT for better-aligned results
• Provide leadership at consortia, standards bodies, industry associations, conferences
• Provide leadership in research collaboration at IMEC, NSTC, NAPMP, NGMM
• Engage university researchers, start-ups, and Siemens Technology on strategic technology priorities
• Proliferate workforce training opportunities for industry-wide familiarity and preference of Siemens tools
• Harness Strategic Marketing to better communicate vision of value for new technology
• Educate Siemens USA on the criticality of EDA in national industrial policy
Job Qualifications
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and build virtual teams within EDA and broader Siemens to identify and create alignment of priorities
• Proven experience developing and maintaining relationships with government influencers and decision-makers around programs involving microelectronics budgets
• Ability to partner with third parties on joint government proposals
• Minimum education - Bachelor of Science degree
• 15 years of experience in US Government-related programs related to electronics-centric systems
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
• Remote
• Up to 50% travel
Thisposition will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under theInternational Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export AdministrationRegulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S.Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.

The totalcash compensation range for this position is $215,500 to $431,000 with 20% of thisbeing comprised of an annual incentive target. The actual compensation offeredis based on the successful candidate's work location as well as additionalfactors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevanteducation/training.
