Job Description: A bout the Role
Chemical Market Analytics by OPIS, a Dow Jones company, requires a Principal Consultant to be located in the UK.
You will develop, quote, lead and conduct bespoke research consulting projects with Chemical Market Analytics clients related to multiple business lines including olefins, plastics, aromatics, inorganics, syngas, feedstock, and energy. You are expected to have a broad knowledge of the chemical and energy industries with a comprehensive understanding of regional differences related to both chemical and energy markets. Significant resource coordination skills are required to guide teams to complete projects. You are expected to be a accomplished writer/speaker and possesses strong computer skills.
You Will:
Support consulting directors in completing projects
Project manage all phases of projects and be accountable for the delivery of projects
Manage and deliver projects, utilising both internal and external subject matter experts along with supporting analysts
Consultant may be required to direct analysis and reports from other service groups within Chemical Market Analytics
Manage and guide junior analysts and mid-level researchers through project tasks
Interface with clients if necessary in the presentation of the final results
Travel on an ad-hoc basis
You Have:
Broad knowledge of the chemical and energy industries
Strong leadership skills and ability to define scope of projects, identify necessary resources and manage those resources
Clear written and verbal communication skills and analytical creativity to determine deliverables that best serves client needs and budget
Highly analytical and strategic thinking
Attention to detail and concise writing style
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a technical degree.Experience:
Substantial experience in chemical or energy industry consulting. Broader experience in plant operations, commercial activities, and financial analysis.About us:
