Job Overview
Specializes in data architecture for reporting services, and designing expertise in data warehouses, data marts, and business intelligence (BI) enterprise reporting. Identifies ways to increase the use of BI within TE, designing end-to-end BI solutions that provide insights and information for key decision-makers. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences. Constructs forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge. Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements. May provide consultation to users and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues.

1. Understand the business needs and pain points unique to our businesses and users located in China and identify opportunities for analytics to solve their problems.
2. Develop relationships and partner with business leaders in that region to develop analytics strategies, roadmaps and investment plans to achieve business goals.
3. Shape future analytics demands of initiatives that drive analytics maturity, have defined value impact and scale across business units.
4. Constructively challenge to refine its "where to play" and "how to win" choices to drive growth, improve profitability, and sustain competitive advantage.
5. Champion the use of data as a strategic business asset. Create and scale data-driven processes, decisions and culture across business team.
6. Coordinate deployment, drive scale, and increase adoption of analytics solutions in China region. This will include demoing analytics solutions and conducting analytics trainings in Mandarin Chinese.
7. Create compelling, persuasive presentation materials to communicate business case/value and recommendations clearly and concisely.
8. Be the analytics voice in the China region and continuously feedback to analytics leadership team on the unique and changing needs of our businesses and users located in China.

Minimum Experience / Qualifications
• Bachelors' degree in computer science, analytics statistics, applied mathematics, or other quantitative fields
• Minimum 3 years' experience in applying analytics to solve business problems and identify new opportunities across a variety of functional areas in a global industrial setting (global manufacturing preferred).
• Experience leading actionable insights initiatives leveraging with a variety of analytics techniques including machine learning, deep learning, NLP and data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI).
• Understanding of databases and cloud technologies such as Oracle, SQL, Hadoop, Redshift, Hana.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing working level teams and senior executives. Must be fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese languages.
• Customer-focus with strong level of proactiveness and great listening skills. Ability to quickly anticipate, solve and address analytics needs.
