PERMANENT MERCHANDISING MANAGER
LDM - MIAMI
The In Store Design Manager will be responsible for leverage how to win-in-store with best-in-class permanent merchandising executions improving brand location, space optimization and design functionality from design concept through completion, winning market share and ensuring brand guidelines are properly applied across all LDM region and COTY affiliates in Mexico, Brazil and Argentina.
We are looking for a result-oriented manager with +5 years of experience in the retail industry with a track record of success and innovation to ensure the smooth delivery of store permanent merchandising projects, through efficient planning and project management that will result in revenue growth and market share.
The role requires strong project management, design and architectonic skills, solid brand aesthetic understanding, budget accountability and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional and regional global partners and vendors.
The In Store Design Manager will report to the Sr. Merchandising Manager, and work closely with sales team, distributors, affiliates, finance teams and merchandising teams. The team is based in Miami.
This position is a fast paced, in this role, the candidate will work on the full Coty Beauty Portfolio. The objective is to win at retail and elevate the brand equities of the Coty portfolio.
THE ROLE
In this role you will be responsible for:
Development and production of permanent merchandising fixtures
Work with the in-house departments such as Marketing team, Sales Team, and Sr. Merchandising Manager to understand the needs of the markets and create an action plan to optimize space, location, and brand presentation at the POS to increase market share across Coty brand Portfolio. Based on the regional need and the brand strategy, the person will collaborate on the PM brief preparation and work in collaboration with global teams to obtain approvals for Space, Location and Design concept. Brief external vendors to elaborate design proposals within brand guidelines and facilitate the approval of technical drawings prior production. Evaluation of all designs, and design optimization analysis if needed. Lead the different stages of designs with local vendors, global teams, distributors, and affiliates as well as monitor production and installation schedules to avoid delays. Provide support with Visual ordering and shelf tools as needed. Provide 1:1 PM In-Store trainings to the markets as needed. Manage the global Capex budget
Propose a yearly budget based on regional needs with the collaboration of the Sr. Merchandising Manager Lead monthly meetings with finance team to review the budget and ensure we are on target. In charge of PO creation / Invoice follow up with the support of the finance team. Ensuring relevant cost savings and efficiencies are delivered. Overseeing tender processes, award of designers, vendors, and contractors Project Management
Project managing from conception to completion. To liaise with vendors / Distributors to deliver a project according to the retailer's fit out guidelines and the company's approved plans. Scheduling design & construction projects to meet required timescales. Cost planning & cost control. Lead vendor certifications. Manage and update PM tracking file (Status of projects, space gain increase, market share) Manage and update PM library (Picture library of installed projects via Installation Reports) Support Local Merchandising teams
Supporting the local merchandising teams ensuring perfect execution in-store check list from fixture to permanent tools. Propose alternative solutions for regional needs. Plan Market visits based on regional PM strategy.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 5 years of experience in CAPEX / Design / Retail projects management in Beauty brands. Strong knowledge of budget management Knowledge of Photoshop / CAD / Office 365 (Excel, Power Point) Experience in managing external agencies. Strong experience in project management Excellent communication skills with cross-functional and regional partners Problem solving skills. Strong desire to work in collaborations with different departments. Role requires International Traveling ~25% Speaks/write advance English and Spanish
