The Software Enterprise team is responsible fordefining and designing customer-driven, world-class, leading-edge,end-to-end solutions across Motorola's expansive public safety productportfolio that includes Next Generation 9-1-1 Call Processing and CallRouting, Computer-Aided Dispatch and Records Management, Digital EvidenceManagement, Intelligence-Led Public Safety, Real-Time Video and DataAnalytics, Community Engagement Applications, and Land Mobile Radio.JobDescripThe PBM will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
You will work with customers and our sales teams to understand ourcustomers' needs.
You will manage the development and implementation of the presale process forpublic safety solutions.
You will develop a consistent approach to RFPs, proposals, and quoting,which includes creating desired, consistent, and accurate documentation.
You will manage cross-functional teams including Sales, Engineering, andProduct Teams focused on delivering timely, accurate proposals.
You will be responsible for creating specific statements of work, producingdetailed project schedules, and ensuring the proposed customer solutionaligns with the sales team's strategy.
You will interface with PM Resource Managers, Sales Managers, EngineeringManagers, Presale Project Planners and Senior Division Staff to effectivelycoordinate presale activity.
You may assist in the development of business plans, strategies, andapproaches to take advantage of business opportunities.
You will interface with public safety customers, subcontractors, and otherMotorola Solutions, Inc. employees via meetings and/or conference calls.
You may assist in contract negotiations with public safety customers.
This is a customer-facing position that relies on solid presentation skills,experience with a wide variety of audiences and a deep knowledge of variouspublic safety agencies. Working with customers, subcontractors, andinternal teams requires excellent interpersonal skills, leadershipqualities, communication skills, and a collaborative attitude.
The ideal candidate has the following skills and capabilities:
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
4+ years of experience in one of the following: project or programmanagement, presales business management, business development, or salesenablement.
Ability to clearly interpret and comprehend customer requirements to create aquality project plan, schedule, and budget.
Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to effectively analyze a project P&L and identify improvementsolutions.
Ability to analyze trends and forecast business results.
Extensive experience working with various computer application programs(Windows environment, MS office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint,Chrome, Google, etc.).
Prefer background in or with the public safety market.
This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the USDepartment of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS)Security Policy" and therefore requires successf lly passing a morestringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions,Inc. customers.
The salary range for this position is $90,000-$140,000 USD dependingon experience.
