  Job Description

  The Precision Strike and Sensing Solutions business unit is seeking a Business Development Manager in support of our Precision Guidance state-of-the-art seeker systems and secure and protected navigation receiver's portfolio that enables our customers to consistently and effectively complete a variety of missions in complex environments. This position will be located in Fort Walton Beach Florida. This position will further develop our pipeline related to Precision Strike and the DoD weapons community. This position will need to bring existing customer relationships, develop and maintain strong business relationships with key decision makers across BAE Systems Electronic Systems Sector, as well as identify and qualify business opportunities, and position BAE Systems for bidding.

  Specific Activities Include:Build, mature and execute comprehensive account plans that deliver desired customer awareness and awards.Identify and qualify a robust pipeline of focused opportunities that align with Precision Strike business objectives.Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to identify customer objectives, priorities, and requirements that strategically position BAE Systems as an innovative industry leader.Develop and maintain strong industry relations with large and small businesses with significant presence in the assigned markets.Team with Business Area leadership to provide counsel and recommendations for the bid/no bid gate reviews and collaborate with the Product Line Director & Capture Team Leads for smooth turnover to proposal development.Conduct competitive analysis.Develop effective win strategies which include identifying and qualifying new opportunities.Reside in Fort Walton Beach Florida.

  Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

  Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  Bachelor's Degree and at least 5 years of experience serving in the armed forces or working in Business Development.Strong understanding of a customer's market- DoD weapons community, Fed Civ, DoD- Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, or Space, with relevant organizational relationships.Will consider all customer bases - Former Weapons Staff or Operational experience considered being highly desirable.Exceptional written and oral communication skills with experience presenting at executive levels.

  Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status.

  Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  Ability to Identify, develop, and implement near-term and long-term business strategies relating to the development of new services, technologies, and follow-on products.Current Active Clearance.Reside in Fort Walton Beach Florida.

  Pay Information

  Full-Time Salary Range: $143000 - $243100

  Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
