Description
Amazon is seeking a self-motivated and high-judgment communications professional to join the team responsible for leading cross-company storytelling on our selection, value, convenience, and innovation. This role will be responsible for sourcing and maintaining U.S. and global data that serves as proof points within our narratives, and driving breakthrough coverage throughout the year - particularly during shopping events. The ideal candidate will love diving deep with business teams and creating new mechanisms for greater efficiency. They will be able to work autonomously and cross-functionally, and have experience managing executive stakeholders, tracking industry trends, developing complex narratives, and identifying timely opportunities. This individual should be a self-starter with an eye for details, and enjoy wrangling multiple people and projects.
Key job responsibilities
• Deliver strategic communications counsel to Amazon executives on both short and long-term challenges and opportunities.
• Successfully manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges, both internally and externally.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholder teams across the business, finance, legal, investor relations, public policy, and and communications.
• Develop and leverage relationships with national and regional media to generate accurate and positive coverage.
• Serve as a spokesperson on behalf of Amazon, as well as train and manage internal spokespeople at all levels for external-facing engagements.

Basic Qualifications
7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $101,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $188,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
