Eaton's Electrical Sector - Power Electronics Center of Excellence division is currently seeking a Power Electronics System Specialist to join our team. This position can be based at our Raleigh, NC office location. The position does offer sponsorship, relocation assistance and is eligible for a hybrid work setup.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $109,503 - $160,604 a year.

What you'll do:
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Eaton's Power Electronics COE accelerates the company's growth through the development of power electronics technology platforms and common hardware building blocks that are scalable, cost-effective, and manufacturable, as well as standardized design methodologies that can be adopted by multiple business units, which provide a foundation for our business to more rapidly develop innovative products.
The technical project manager will be responsible for not only developing and maintaining comprehensive project plans capturing key technical requirements and deliverables and outlining project tasks, milestones, status, and resource allocation but also developing effective cross-organization relationships, efficient collaboration, and communication across business and with stakeholders. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, a power electronics background and development experience, a proven track record in successful project management and implementation, and leadership skills capable of leading a cross-functional project team and communicating with stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Create power electronic system architecture and system requirements to determine the best power electronics system solutions for the application. Utilize simulation tools to model and simulate power electronics systems, predict performance, and optimize system designs. Work with power electronics HW, mechanical, thermal, and firmware engineers to develop platforms, building blocks, or power electronics systems.Plan, test, and validate platforms, building blocks, or power electronics systems.Ensure that power electronics systems comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and EMC/EMI requirements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate a power electronics system into larger systems.Communicate development progress, issues, and solutions to cross-functional teams and management.Develop appropriate documentation and make technical presentations.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors from an accredited institution Minimum 7 years of engineering experience in power electronics system designs or development
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in power electronics system designs, including power electronics system architecture, topology, power electronics system thermal management, control, and firmwareMinimum 5 years of experience, including hands-on project management of large, cross-functional efforts, from concept through delivery.Experience developing comprehensive project plans with high-level technical requirements while dealing with ambiguity Experience working in diverse cultural situations with global customers and team members
