About the Role
We are seeking highly motivated, young scientist to join us for 6 months of internship in the Immunogen-icity and Mechanistic Immunology (IMI) group, within the Biologics Research Center (BRC) in the Novartis Biomedical Research in Basel.

Latest start date: 15.05.2024
Duration: 6 months
Key Responsibilities:
• Investigate B cell antibody repertoire in peripheral blood and tonsil-derived samples Handling and culture of cell lines and primary cells.
• Handling and culture of cell lines and primary cells.
• Use of multicolor flow cytometry, immunological (i.e. ELISA) and molecular biology techniques.
• Perform experimental data analysis and present scientific interpretation in internal lab meetings
• Document experiments using electronic lab book, preparing protocols and reports.
• Maintain familiarity with recent scientific and technical literature relevant to the project

Role Requirements
Essential Requirements
• Education: Recent graduates with a master degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Immunology, Molecular Medicine, Bio-technology or related disciplines (shortly after master degree completion)
• Languages: Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
• Basic laboratory skills
• Experience with primary cell culture, immunological techniques (i.e. ELISA) and molecular biology
• Experience in immunology is a plus
Desirable Requirements
• Previous hands-on experience flow cytometry is a plus.
