Job Description
When the work you do every single day has a crucial impact on the lives of others, every effort, every detail, and every second matters. This shared culture of happiness, passion, and dedication pulses through Cedars-Sinai, and it’s just one of the many reasons why we rank as one of the top hospitals in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.
Members of the Levy DigiPath Lab are pioneering advancements in the field of digital pathology by developing and validating sensible/pragmatic artificial intelligence technologies. These technologies seamlessly integrate hyperdimensional imaging, spatial omics assays, text data, and various types of electronic medical records. With a focus on meeting clinical needs, the lab operates under the guiding principle of "by clinicians, for clinicians."
A key area of the lab's research explores spatial molecular variations within tumors. Utilizing advanced spatial multimodal molecular assays, they uncover patterns that reveal how tumors invade and spread. The lab also leverages the synergistic capabilities of AI and spatial omics to deepen our understanding of cancer mechanisms and epidemiology. Their cutting-edge machine learning techniques not only enhance the quality of these assessments but also aim to reduce costs.
Finally, the lab is committed to advancing hierarchical Bayesian methods to ensure the ethical evaluation of medical AI technologies. This ensures a high standard of integrity, fairness, and transparency, mitigating biases and preventing the overhyping of model effectiveness.
Are you ready to be a part of breakthrough research?
