The AES CE Finance team is hiring a Portfolio Asset Management Analyst with a passion for the renewable or energy field. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to analyze and organize information, develop capabilities, and improve processes. Responsibilities will include project reporting and coordination of financial, commercial, compliance management and administrative tasks as well as coordination and oversight of the operations and maintenance of the assets.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead compliance of project transaction documents (PPAs, IAs, Lease, Finance, O&M, etc.) including delivering any reporting or otherwise defined contractual obligationsSupport resolution or mitigation of any major plant outages/equipment failuresCollaborate with various teams to identify asset performance optimization opportunities Supervise project financial matters (P&L responsibility), prepare annual budgets, and continually track and explain variance to budget within assigned portfoliosProcess project invoices (telecom, utilities, property tax, etc.) for prompt payment and accurate project accountingOwner's Representative tasked with managing AES Clean Energy's interest in several project portfolios
Project Administration, Compliance & Stakeholder Management
Be the subject matter authority on all compliance and commercial obligations pursuant to project governing documents and ensure strict compliance including Power Purchase Agreements, Hedge Agreements, Interconnection Agreements, land leases, Financing Agreements, and LLC AgreementsMaintain the integrity and accuracy of data contained in AES Clean Energy's renewable energy information system that supervises compliance and key project data by proactively reviewing and summarizing results of contracts and other project documentsPrepare recurring reports on project performance for internal and external parties and respond to inquiriesEnsure the completion of all compliance obligations pursuant to contract requirements and regulatory agencies (including EIA, CEC, FERC) in timely fashionFind opportunities to optimize the financial results while balancing risk through solid management decisions and/or innovative approachesWork with origination, development, project execution, project finance, and construction management groups to ensure smooth and timely transition of projects into commercial operation, as appropriateHandle day-to-day collaborator relationships by creating and maintaining positive work relationships with local and state authorities, financing and investors partners, regulatory agencies, landowners, and other entitiesHandle and resolve any contractual, regulatory, and commercial issues as they arise

Education:
BA/BS degree requiredDegree or equivalent experience concentration in business, finance, accounting, economics, environmental studies, and/or other quantitative fields preferred
Working Conditions:
Based in Salt Lake City, UT or Louisville, COTravel will be required between offices and some travel to sites. Approximately 10% travel.

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $60,000 and $76,500/Annual; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
