Combine your interests in Technology, Finance and business value delivery in this multi-faceted role supporting Middle and Larger Commercial. This role helps align strategy and execution by applying Lean systems thinking approach to strategy and investment funding, Agile portfolio operations, and governance. The IT Portfolio Analyst shall support the prioritization of work and financial accountability for the products and solutions within a portfolio.
This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in the Hartford office 3 days a week.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan and monitor IT budgets to ensure alignment with strategic initiatives/objectivesAssist with department financial operations, review outlook locks, provide operations planning, monthly reserving, capitalization, financial reporting and support of the Chief Information Office(CIO)Oversee vendor management on contracts, purchase orders, MBM and invoice approvalsAssist in the development and maintenance of a workforce strategy, inclusive of vendor partners, such that the ratios of employee/vendor, onshore/offshore, HIG offices, etc. are considered to achieve an optimum balanceProvide support for data capture, metrics, measurement, ratios, projections around work forcePartner closely with the Senior Portfolio Lead to ensure the investment prioritization process is transparent and collaborativeProvide support to prepare for portfolio health reviews, scorecards, MOR meetingsAssist with the reporting of key portfolio metrics (e.g., employee engagement, customer satisfaction, productivity, agility, time-to-market, quality, partner health)Create a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, adopting "OwnIT", Agile and DevOps mindsets and enabling high performanceAssist with coordinating a continuous approach to ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements and non-discretionary initiativesAssists with Rally support and data management
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experienceMinimum of one year of change/project/portfolio management experience or equivalent leadership experienceExperience with agile methodology and frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, etc.Knowledge of software development processes and procedures to understand team needs includes fundamentals of iterative and incremental developmentExperience managing financials and knowledge of IT financial management practicesUnderstanding of Agile and Scaled AgileHighly proficient in MS Office technologyStrong written, verbal and presentation skillsDemonstrated ability to establish, build and influence productive business partnerships within a matrixed environmentCapacity for strategic thinking and mental agility in changing work environments and concurrent work tasks
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
