Summary:
Meta is hiring a Policy Associate Manager to join the AI Policy team. The AI Policy team’s mission is to guide development and deployment of AI across Meta, and drive external engagement and advocacy around our top priority issues as we continue to build cutting-edge AI. This role will work closely with the policy team and cross-functional partners across the company to drive the implementation of Meta’s long term AI strategy. They will serve as a policy manager responsible for creating and implementing processes, drafting leadership briefing materials and responses to requests for information, coordinating XFN partners, and working with subject matter experts and product leads to identify the most impactful, unanswered strategic questions around AI. The ideal candidate is a constant learner, skilled at prioritising, well-organised, good at navigating ambiguity, expert in juggling multiple tasks/timelines at once, and excited by new technologies. This candidate will be deeply familiar with AI policy issues and have a meaningful understanding of relevant policy issues, which will include a subset of fairness, transparency, safety, privacy, and governance. This person is a great writer, communicator, and organiser who excels at working collaboratively with executives, engineering/product teams, and policy colleagues alike and consistently delivers high-quality work under pressure. Experience supporting multiple teams or executive-level projects in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Consult with internal subject matter experts to identify and synthesise key AI strategy questions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to draft briefing materials for leadership reviews.
Track and drive resolution of leadership guidance coming out of these reviews.
Contribute to Policy team-wide planning and coordination processes.
Drive execution of specific AI-related projects as directed.
Create and run a process to manage the intake of global AI briefing/engagement requests and drive delivery of input and review from a range of internal stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:

4+ years of experience in public policy, technology, or similar field
2+ years of AI policy experience
Familiarity with AI policy issues and governing emerging technology
Experience prioritising multiple simultaneous projects under tight deadlines
Experience within policy analysis and drafting
Experience executing on cross-functional initiatives
Effective organizational skills across multiple projects

$89,000/year to $145,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
