Seeking a Plumbing Project Manager with a well known General Contractor.
Description:
Job Summary: The Project Manager is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and budgeting activities and financial reports concerned with the construction or maintenance of projects
•The Project Manager participates in the conceptual development of a project and oversees its organization, scheduling and implementation
•Work with Superintendents, Foremen and Journeymen to plan, organize and direct activities concerned with
•Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specifications
•Confer with supervisors and union personnel to discuss such matters as work procedures, complaints
•Initiate and maintain liaison with owners and other contacts to facilitate project
•Monitor and control project through administrative direction of on-site union personnel to ensure project is completed on schedule and within
•Represent company in project meetings and attend strategy meetings
•Work with contract administrator to manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the client
•Manage the requisition of supplies and materials
•Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff and workers
•Formulate reports concerning such areas as work progress, costs
•Works with engineers to produce shop drawings from architectural plans
•Communicates with customer/contractor during the building process
•Manages projects to ensure the budgets established are met and ensures products are manufactured to customer specifications
•Collaborate with the Superintendent as well as other departments in the acquisition of tooling, materials, equipment, etc
•Develop project budget based on the estimate/proposal including the budget breakdown by task and appropriate tracking units and develop cost codes for tasks/units
•Run reports on projects, tracking cost and
Prepare and distribute completed RFPs
•Review subcontractor proposals for completeness and scope
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
At least 5 years within estimating or project management in the Plumbing industry or HVAC
Clean driving record
Bachelors degree in related industry is preffered
