Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Remote Platform/DevOps Engineer to support a critical modernization effort with a large government healthcare customer. This individual will be responsible for designing, building and managing a complex DevOps environment that will be leveraged across the enterprise platform teams. The goal for this role will be to utilize a GitOps approach to build a scalable DevOps environment. This individual will serve a critical role in successful delivery of the services, and will create best practices around tooling, continuous integration and continuous delivery.
Additional responsibilities include:
Work with the customer and technical staff to interpret requirements into a design roadmap
In coordination with architect and delivery team, design and build out CI/CD pipeline
Adding new CI or CD technologies to the existing pipeline
configure and program helm charts for specific use cases
Implement Argo CD as part of the GitOps strategy
Troubleshooting CI/CD pipeline issues
Directly working with the Product Owner to understand user stories
Adhere to Agile/Scrum development methodology
Skills and Requirements
5+ years of experience in DevOps building and managing environments supporting cloud native platforms.
Strong hands on experience with AWS, including AWS managed service tools (EKS, EC2, etc.)
Hands on experience with Helm with a deep understanding of chart configurations and use cases
Strong experience with Kubernetes and Docker, specifically using EKS for deployments in AWS.
Strong experience working Terraform building IaC environments
Experience or understanding of GitOps approach to DevOps
Experience working with and supporting Agile development teams
Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent years of work experience Experience using ArgoCD for Continuous Delivery is highly preferred null
